It is unbelievably cold here - a maximum yesterday of -8 Celsius (without the wind factor). People kindly tells us that this is unusually cold, but that is no consolation as a standard New York winter would be cold enough for us!
It takes courage and determination to make ourselves leave our apartment. I am sitting in Starbucks now writing this in order to ensure that I get my daily dose of sunlight...neither or us is made for this climate...
