LET'S HOPE THE NEXT ONE'S BETTER

Just a quick note on our first booking here on Tuesday night (August 7th). Not quite the ideal audience, shall we say, or the usual response. It would appear that audiences who pay to hear someone speak are a little more appreciative...and courteous. It has caused us to reassess our enthusiasm for a close connection with Taglit-Birthright. But enough said on that here...

Naturally, after that appalling experience, as we rushed off to get one of the last buses back from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, deciding to take the short cut stairs through the back, David slipped and sprained his ankle. As you might imagine, this did not help our mood, especially as the two sets of escalators that we needed to go up in order to get the bus were switched off, so poor David had to hobble up the stairs.

Not a night worth remembering.
