THREE OF THE SIX DONE...ALREADY

So, tomorrow (Monday) night will be chapter four of the Whole of Jewish History in Six Chapters. So far, thing have been going well. While we haven't necessarily had the numbers that we are accustomed to for David's talks, there have been other very interesting results. In particular, the impact on friends/acquaintances who have come along because we have asked them to and who have, subsequently, been overwhelmed by the talks. I am not exaggerating or having a 'proud wife' moment about this. In the past two weeks we have seen intelligent, informed friends confessing that seeing David's talk has shaken up their world view a little. This is naturally in part because David is brilliant(!), but also because they have been confronted by information that they had, in the past, filed away under "religious nonsense". Now, they are having it revealed as historical record and not religious mythology and it is seriously having an impact on their understanding of the foundations of Judaism. It seems that there is a bit more going on than these (well educated, well informed) dudes realised. So, once again, it seems that David is spot on when he says that that Jewish History is a gateway to Jewish spirituality.
